Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals in a timely manner. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items on the grill, ensuring all dishes are cooked to perfection. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in meal preparation. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including marinating meats and chopping vegetables. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including regular cleaning of grill equipment and utensils. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, particularly in grill cooking or similar roles. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues. Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality meals. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
