Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes, ensuring that each meal meets our restaurant's quality standards while providing exceptional service to our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items on the grill, ensuring proper cooking techniques and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service, including marinating meats and chopping vegetables. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during peak service hours. Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food quality. Help train new kitchen staff in grill operations and food safety practices.

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in grilling or similar culinary roles. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and equipment used in meal preparation. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the restaurant industry.
