We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive delicious meals that meet our high standards of food safety and culinary excellence.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain food quality and minimise waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Assist with food preparation tasks, including marinating, seasoning, and chopping ingredients as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during busy periods.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure all meals are cooked to perfection.
Help maintain inventory levels by reporting any shortages or equipment issues to management.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is essential, particularly in grilling or cooking roles.
Must have experience cooking steaks to different temperatures.
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
