We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. The Grill Cook will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared efficiently and safely while maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection. Assist in meal preparation for other kitchen stations as needed. Adhere to all food safety regulations and best practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food products. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a Grill Cook or similar role. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional meals that delight customers.

Pay: 12.21-15.43 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
