Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required.
Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure optimal flavour and texture.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Clean and maintain grill equipment, utensils, and workstations to uphold cleanliness standards.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment. Additionally, if you have any experience with Stake Chef, that would be more effective for us.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to learn and improve skills in meal preparation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
