Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station, adhering to food safety regulations Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during busy periods Keep the work area clean, sanitised, and organised throughout shifts

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, particularly on a grill or barbecue station Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Knowledge of culinary techniques related to grilling and meat preparation is advantageous Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
