Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation standards. Monitor food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and kitchen safety protocols. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including marinating meats and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding kitchen areas. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on grilling techniques and food preparation methods as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in meal preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A team player who can communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. Passion for culinary arts, particularly grilling techniques and flavour combinations.Salary which applies to younger workers, is 10.00 per hour for those aged 18-20 and 7.55 per hour for those aged 16-17
