Ground Operations Aircraft Handler
at
RAF Cranwell
and
RAF Barkston Heath.

This is a permanent contract, working part-time 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day, 5 days a week on an alternating shift basis of early shifts and late shifts.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure the efficient, effective, and safe arrival, turnround and departure of Aircraft (Embraer Phenom & Grob Prefect) including but not restricted to marshalling, refuelling, towing.
Provide ground operations support to RAF Cranwell and Barkston Heath on rotation and in support of absence.
Undertake Flight line safety duties (line walker).
Ensuring the safety of all personnel during aircraft movements.
Directing Aircraft to the allocated slot and reacting to any emergencies (fuel/oil spills, A/C emergency states, etc).
Operate calmly and safely whilst in a sometimes-challenging, safety critical environment.
Ensuring aircraft documentation is completed correctly.
Management and use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Aircraft towing vehicles.
Keep abreast of safety notices, SMIBs (Safety & Maintenance Information Bulletin), OSIBs (Operations safety information bulletins), Read and Signs.
Promote?and endorse?a positive?Equality,?Quality, and?Health & Safety culture. Ensuring appropriate safety behaviours are demonstrated and maintained at all times.
Report any safety issues through AEMS (Affinity error management system).
Ensure all competencies and training required are up to date.
What We're Looking For:

Basic qualifications in English and Maths (GCSE grade 5-9 / A-C or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
No previous experience required--
full training will be provided
Eligibility & Security Requirements:

resided in the UK continuously for the past 3 years
Must hold the
legal right to work in the UK
Will be required to undergo
MOD Security Clearance
, including 3 years' reference checks

essential qualifications, licences, and passport
