Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundwork and construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on site.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of construction sites, including clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment. Operate hand tools and machinery as required for various groundwork tasks. Lay foundations, install drainage systems, and assist with the installation of utilities. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.

Skills

Strong understanding of groundwork techniques and construction practices is preferred. Ability to operate basic machinery and tools safely and effectively. Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
