We're looking for an experienced groundworker to support a package of works on a live construction project in Chichester. The role focuses on drainage installation and associated groundworks, working alongside our site team to keep the programme moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Install foul and surface water drainage systems to specification
Excavate, level and prepare trenches
Install rainwater harvesting tanks and Klargester units (or similar treatment systems)
Connect pipework, chambers, fittings and backfill to required standards
Operate relevant plant and tools safely (if tickets are held)
Maintain safe working practices and follow site protocols
Support general groundworks where required
Essential Experience & Skills
Proven experience installing foul and surface water drainage on construction sites
Competence in installing rainwater harvesting systems and Klargester treatment units
Strong understanding of levels, falls, and correct installation methods
Ability to read drawings and follow instructions accurately
Machinery/plant tickets (360, dumper, roller) are beneficial but not essential
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a small team
