Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our on-site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for external groundworks, including installation of fencing and retaining walls, supporting construction operations, and ensuring all works meet project standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set out groundworks areas in line with specifications
Install external fencing and retaining walls to a high standard
Excavate, level and compact ground surfaces
Work with concrete, soil, stone, and other construction materials
Ensure safe usage of tools, plant and machinery
Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas
Collaborate with the team to complete tasks efficiently
About You
Previous experience in groundworks, fencing or similar construction roles
Ability to read plans, markings and follow instructions
Good knowledge of construction materials and equipment
CSCS card (preferred) and relevant health & safety qualifications
Team player with strong communication skills
Commitment to high standards of workmanship
