to join our team on a busy construction and civil engineering project in Ayrshire. The successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of groundwork duties, with a focus on installing drainage and utility pipework to a high standard of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Install
drainage and utility pipework
(e.g., foul, storm, ducting, water).
Excavate and prepare ground for pipe installation.
Lay and bed pipes to line and level using laser or manual methods.
Backfilling, compacting, and reinstatement.
Construct manholes, chambers, and other associated structures.
Assist with concreting, kerbing, edging, and general groundworks.
Operate small tools and equipment safely.
Work closely with site supervisors to ensure tasks are completed to specification.
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience as a
Groundworker
or
Pipelayer
.
Ability to read levels and work to plans.
Understanding of drainage systems and installation methods.
Blue CSCS card (required).
Additional tickets such as CPCS/NPORS for plant (advantage, not essential).
Good physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditions.
Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.
