Job Summary

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance on gardening tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with construction projects related to outdoor spaces, including setting up structures or features as required. Utilise hand tools for detailed gardening tasks, including trimming, planting, and soil preparation. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to promote efficient water usage. Support team members in specialised horticultural activities aimed at improving plant health and landscape design. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening roles with a solid understanding of horticulture principles. Mechanical knowledge related to operating excavators, power tools, and other construction equipment. Proficiency with hand tools used in gardening and construction tasks. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair techniques. Ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery and garden equipment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise gardening work. Physical fitness to undertake outdoor tasks involving lifting, digging, and operating machinery over long periods. Good teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when necessary.
