We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects by performing essential groundwork tasks. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of sites for construction by clearing debris and vegetation.
Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively, including diggers and compactors.
Lay foundations, including drainage systems, concrete slabs, and other groundwork elements.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in groundwork or related construction roles is essential.
Ability to operate basic construction machinery is preferred.
Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Awareness of health and safety practices on construction sites is essential.
A valid driving licence would be beneficial for site travel purposes.
