Job Description

AW Construction are Folkestone based construction company operating both locally and nationally, predominantly on projects of a commercial nature. Due to our continued success we are looking to expand our team and are therefore seeking to appoint an experienced groundworker to work on a wide range of projects predominantly in London.

We are looking for experienced round workers with at least five years experience.

As the groundwork requirements can be limited the successful applicant will be expected to support other works when needed.. Therefore applicants with experience of other construction disciplines will be viewed preferentially. The more you can do the better.

The successful candidate will work with our existing team undertaking a range of services such as.

Groundworks - (predominantly concreting and shallow drainage) Laying new brick and blocks Basic Carpentry - Shuttering, stud walls Strip out work Painting and decorating
This role is a self-employed basis, a van could be supplied for the right candidate.

There is also the option for a lift to and from site each day.

Driving license is preferred and you will be required to have your own tools.

Working Monday to Friday as standard there will be opportunities to work long days and weekends for those who want it, paid as overtime.

Experience/Qualifications:

Several years of experience in the trade and being able to demonstrate excellent ability in the desired areas. Self motivated, enthusiastic, approachable and a trustworthy team player. Good organisational skills. Must be friendly and have a professional attitude.
