Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team on a self employed basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundworks, including site preparation and excavation. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Carry out site preparation and excavation tasks as directed by the site supervisor. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other utilities. Operate basic groundworking machinery and tools safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all materials are stored correctly. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundworks is essential Ability to operate basic machinery and tools safely; relevant certifications are a plus. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. A valid driving licence is required
