We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to groundworks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
Carry out groundworks including excavation, drainage, and laying foundations.
Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively.
Assist in the installation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity.
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.
Skills
Experience in groundworks or construction is preferred but not essential.
Ability to operate construction machinery (e.g., diggers, dumpers) is advantageous.
Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction environments is beneficial.
