Responsibilities
Carry out general groundworks including digging, concreting, drainage, kerbing, and laying foundations.
Prepare and maintain construction sites, ensuring work areas are safe and tidy.
Assist with setting out and measuring work areas according to project specifications.
Operate hand tools, small plant, and machinery as required (training may be provided).
Support tradespeople and other site staff in completing daily tasks.
Follow all site health and safety procedures and report any issues to supervisors.
Handle and move materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and to quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience in groundworks or general construction is desirable but not essential.
Good understanding of site safety and willingness to follow all safety rules and instructions.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour in all weather conditions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality workmanship.
CSCS card preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
Full UK driving licence is an advantage.
