About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and reliable

Groundworker / Bricklayer

to join our growing team at

Ryan and Sons Construction

. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality groundwork and bricklaying tasks on residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities



Groundworks Duties:



Carry out all aspects of groundworks including excavation, drainage, foundations, concreting, kerbing, paving, and reinstatement. Operate plant and equipment safely and in line with company policies. Prepare and maintain safe and tidy working areas. Read and interpret site drawings and specifications.

Bricklaying Duties:



Lay bricks, blocks, and stone according to plans and drawings. Construct and repair walls, partitions, and other structures. Mix and apply mortars, plasters, and other bonding materials. Ensure all masonry work meets company quality and finish standards.

Requirements



Proven experience as a groundworker and/or bricklayer. Strong understanding of construction site safety and good working practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans. CSCS card . Full UK driving licence (preferred). Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work well within a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.33-23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

Experience:

Bricklaying: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
