Job Description

We are looking for a Fit, motivated equipment maintenance technician to join our team at Bisley Shooting ground. This role involves the upkeep of various mechanical and electrical targetry and target throwing equipment. Successful candidates will have a good working knowledge of mechanical and DC electrical systems, plus experience maintaining this type of equipment.

(We are not looking for landscapers, tree surgeons or gardeners sorry)

Typical working week is 5 days (0830 - 1730) The successful candidate should be prepared to work one weekend in three on a Rota basis.

As well as Technical Repair, this role will involve help with:

Loading of Clay targets into throwing machines.

Transport of Shotguns and ammunition.

Maintenance of shooting stands.

Grass cutting, Hedge trimming etc.

Assisting with competitions.

Stock control and stock takes.

Essential Skills

A good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

Willing to work as part of a team.

Willing to work outdoors in all weathers.

Driving license.

Enthusiastic and engaging personality, enjoying working in a customer environment.

Desirable skills

Basic understanding of shooting, both rifle and clay target.

Must not be a prohibited person under section 21 of the firearms act 1968

Salary range from 28,000 to 33,000 depending on Engineering competence and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,000.00-33,000.00 per year
