We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundworks, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols. The Groundworker will play a crucial part in supporting construction activities and maintaining site cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Carry out groundwork tasks including excavation, drainage installation, and surface preparation. Assist in the setting up of site equipment and tools necessary for construction activities. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by clearing debris and ensuring all materials are stored correctly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on-site. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks and hazards. Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or site conditions to the supervisor promptly. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Skills

Previous experience in groundworks or construction is desirable but not essential. Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work conditions.
