Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker/Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to operate various types of machinery and tools. The ideal candidate will possess all nature of groundwork skills, kerbing/flagging/edgeing setting lines and levels. The laying of tarmac an advantage

Responsibilities

Operate lorries to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe for operation. Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure compliance with all transport regulations. Use power tools and hand tools for loading and unloading materials as necessary. Assist in groundworking tasks, including digging, kerbing flagging barrowing and maintenance when required. Build and maintain relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service during deliveries. Report any mechanical issues or concerns regarding the vehicle promptly.

Experience

Proven experience as a lorry driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with using power tools, hand tools, and basic mechanical knowledge is essential. Experience in groundworking essential A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining delivery schedules and logs.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-17.00 per hour
