Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and general maintenance tasks. A passion for gardening and an eye for detail are crucial for ensuring that all grounds are kept to the highest standards.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and planting to enhance the appearance of gardens and green spaces. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for various maintenance projects. Carry out irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure efficient water distribution across landscaped areas. Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair. Assist in construction projects related to landscaping, including building pathways, installing fences, or creating garden beds. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment used on-site. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating and maintaining equipment effectively. Familiarity with horticulture practices will be an advantage. Experience using various hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to grounds maintenance. A background in construction can enhance your ability to contribute to landscaping projects.
