Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Team Leader to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities across our domestic and commercial sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, gardening, and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role involves supervising routine grounds maintenance, operating power tools and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently to uphold the highest standards.

Duties

Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed to schedule and quality standards. Oversee maintenance activities including gardening, horticulture, hedge cutting, planting, and turfing. Operate and maintain various mechanical equipment such as lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, leaf blowers. Provide training and guidance to team members on the proper use of tools.

Skills

Proven experience in grounds maintenance. Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and other departments.
