Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Person to join our team at JW Groundsworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our grounds through various landscaping and maintenance tasks. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. Assist with site preparation and clean-up Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., electricians, carpenters) Transport materials and tools Follow safety protocols Operate basic construction equipment Load/unload goods and materials Monitor plant health and implement pest control measures when necessary. Keep grounds clean and free from debris to maintain a tidy appearance. Collaborate with other team members to ensure all groundskeeping tasks are completed efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience in groundskeeping or maintenance is preferred. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to gardening tasks. Mechanical knowledge to maintain equipment effectively. Ability to dig, build, and perform various physical tasks associated with landscaping work. Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
