Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a hands-on approach to groundskeeping, ensuring that gardens and landscapes are well-kept and thriving. The Grounds Person will work closely with other team members to uphold high standards of landscape maintenance.

Duties

Perform general groundskeeping tasks, including digging, planting, and maintaining garden beds. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out landscaping duties. Assist in the irrigation of plants and lawns to ensure proper watering schedules are maintained. Build and maintain structures such as fences, garden beds, or pathways as required. Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through routine cleaning and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members on larger landscaping projects or seasonal preparations.

Experience

Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in gardening and landscaping tasks is advantageous. Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment upkeep is a plus. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential qualities for success in this role.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
