Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a combination of physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for landscape maintenance. The Groundskeeper will work with various tools and equipment to ensure that gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas are kept in excellent condition.

Duties

Perform regular groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Maintain flower beds and gardens by planting, watering, weeding, and fertilising as necessary. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks. Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, or other plants as required. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards. Build and repair fences, pathways, and other structures within the grounds as needed. Collaborate with team members to plan landscape projects and improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively. Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with garden care techniques including irrigation methods is advantageous. A keen eye for detail with a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Full driving licence is essential.
