Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in the role of Landscape Maintenance Technician. This position involves a variety of tasks related to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture and construction, demonstrating proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as mechanical knowledge relevant to landscape maintenance.

Duties

Conduct regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and weeding to ensure the upkeep of gardens and green spaces. Operate excavators and other machinery safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects. Install and maintain irrigation systems to promote healthy plant growth. Utilise hand tools and power tools for tasks such as planting, pruning, and constructing garden features. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects from conception through completion. Apply knowledge of horticulture to select appropriate plants for specific environments and conditions. Assist in the construction of hardscapes such as patios, pathways, and retaining walls as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators. Knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation is advantageous. Background in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. A valid driving licence may be required for transportation between job sites. Pay: 12.21-17.13 per hour
