What You'll Be Doing

Reading and working from technical drawings and site documentation. Competently setting up and using

trench boxes, drag boxes, and manhole boxes

. Using

pipe lasers

for accurate installation. Installing

concrete, clay, and plastic pipes

(all sizes), ensuring correct bedding, surrounds, and full testing. Managing

groundwater

effectively, including selecting and setting up pumps to suit each project. Completing

trench backfilling

to specification. Benching manholes to a high standard. Working safely around live services, applying service avoidance techniques. Supporting external works including kerbs, edgings, slabs, and block paving. Applying detailed knowledge of underground drainage, road construction, kerbing, slab laying, and external works. Carrying out daily

plant safety inspections and maintenance checks

, reporting requirements to site management.

What We Require

CSCS Skilled Worker or similar qualification Proven

deep drainage experience

with strong technical skills. Ability to work safely and efficiently within drainage gangs or as part of a wider groundworks team. Skilled in handling materials and equipment for underground drainage and external works.

Desirable Skills & Experience

5+ years in groundworks and deep drainage. CPCS/NPORS tickets for Telehandlers, Dumpers, or Rollers.
Experience working within or leading

drainage gangs/teams

.
