About The Role

Job Summary:

The groundworker will carry out general labouring duties including operating items of plant and equipment on various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Comply with McGowan Infrastructure's Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems Safe use of hand tools, machinery, plant and other equipment, only using equipment you are trained and authorised for Ensure all plant & equipment is checked at the start and end of each occasion of use Ensure that any defects are highlighted, addressed and actioned immediately to eliminate any risk of accident/injury/mechanical breakdown Raise any safety concerns with your Supervisor Maintain accurate daily records for activities on site and man hours worked Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder's appropriate skill set and assist other disciplines when required

Qualifications

CSCS Manual Handling Abrasive Wheels

Desirable

CPCS /NPORS - Dumper and roller Cat and Genny ( Cable Avoidance Slinger/Signaller/banksman Asbestos Awareness

Experience and Skills:

Previous experience in a similar role and certified in the use of required site plant/machinery Excellent communication skills, The ability to work as part of a team The ability to follow concise and clear instructions accurately Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others Possess a full and clean driving licence Ability to utilise independent judgment in the performance of duties Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements Knowledge of site safety practices, including an understanding of Confined Spaces
Awareness of quality, environmental, health and safety processes and requirements
