Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to groundworks, including site preparation, excavation, and assisting with the installation of utilities. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS, PPE AND TRANSPORT. Enclosed spaces preferrable. Streetworks license is preferred.

Duties

Carry out site preparation activities, including clearing debris and levelling ground. Assist in excavation work for foundations, drainage systems, and other underground installations. Operate basic machinery and tools safely and effectively, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all equipment is stored correctly after use. Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to the overall success of the project. WIAPS and Fit to Work courses will be provided

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundworks is required. A valid CSCS card is needed. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual labour and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
