Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team on our site in Chipping Norton, but will be required to go to our maintenance jobs in various locations up and down the country when required.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various phases ensuring that all groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Own transport & small tool is a must

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools and power tools
- Fabricate and assemble structural components such as walls and floors
- Conduct masonry work such as laying bricks or stones

- Lay paving slabs & block paving to a high standard.

- All aspects Groundworks

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Groundworker
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Experience

Previous experience in groundwork or construction is a Must Familiarity with operating basic construction tools and machinery is advantageous. A valid CSCS card is desirable but can be obtained after employment if necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential. A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices is required.
