We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment. Assist in the excavation of soil and the laying of foundations for buildings and other structures. Operate machinery such as diggers and compactors, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure smooth workflow and project completion. Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to site meetings as required. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any faults or issues promptly. Adhere to health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site. Own Tools and Van Required

Skills

Proven experience in groundwork or related construction roles is advantageous but not essential. Ability to operate construction machinery safely; relevant certifications are a plus. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
