Job Description

Orbit Workforce Solutions Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Groundworker for an on-going project in Heathfield

Key Responsibilities

Undertake a full range of groundwork tasks, including drainage installation, concreting, kerbing, paving, and ducting. Prepare, level, and compact ground for foundations, footings, and concrete slabs. Install, connect, and maintain underground services such as drainage systems, utilities, and ducts. Safely and efficiently operate small plant and machinery (where trained and authorised). Interpret construction drawings and work accurately to specified levels and measurements. Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure work meets design requirements and project timelines. Deliver all work to a high standard of quality and in compliance with safety regulations. Keep the site clean, well-organised, and free from hazards at all times. Adhere to company health and safety policies, promoting a positive and proactive safety culture. Represent the company professionally through dependable performance, teamwork, and a committed work ethic.

Key Requirements

Valid CSCS Card. NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Groundworks. EUSR Cat 1 & 2 certification. Street Works (NRSWA) Units 1-9. Safety Critical Medical certification. Valid Dumper, Roller, and Excavator (Digger) tickets. Proven experience working as a Groundworker within civil engineering or construction projects. Strong awareness of health & safety and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
