Civils Working Site Foreman

Responsible for scheduling, co-ordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives and ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.

As well as a hands on approach to completing works on site, your duties will include-

Implement and maintain PPE requirements on site. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with RAMS/permit procedures etc. Understanding of the Health & Safety At Work Act & construction health & safety regulations. Maintain standard of high standards of best practice in all relevant areas and promote safe behaviour. Delivery of weekly toolbox talks to staff, contractors and visitors and carry out daily briefing at the start of every shift. Carry out inductions for all site personnel, visitors, contractors and maintain records. Appropriate reporting of any near hits, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and incidents through the company Buildertrend portal. Carry out regular safety inspections of all workplaces within the site. Ensure a safe system of work is in place for all key tasks and activities, assist with the production of the SSOW. Support the site manager contracts manager in the delivery of the project. Manage and oversee all resources on the site to deliver project. Liaise with the client at site level to ensure successful delivery. Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with the valuation and variation process to help maintain a positive cashflow position and maximise variations. Oversee the work of all subcontractors on the project. Ensure all materials/plant ordered in good time and received on site. Ensure timesheets for operatives are returned in timely fashion. Actively monitor and manage project costs. Kept detailed records of site daily progress e.g. weather, resources, deliveries, client instructions, sub-contractors issues, unforeseen conditions. Effectively manage and motivate employees to deliver the project successfully.
Person Specification

Essential

An excellent understanding of civil engineering & construction. Previous trade background/knowledge. Previous supervisory experience Good communication, people and management skills SSSTS qualification. (Training can be provided) First Aid At Work (Training can be provided) 5+ years experience in civil engineering Driving licence
Desirable

CSCS qualification (Training can be provided) Experience & qualifications in multiple categories of plant
