Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on site.

Responsibilities

Prepare and level ground for construction projects by digging, grading, and compacting soil. Operate hand tools and machinery such as excavators, diggers, and compactors safely and effectively. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other groundwork elements. Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks on time and according to project specifications. Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or construction is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to operate machinery safely; relevant certifications are an advantage. Strong physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work. A valid driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
