Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Groundworker Gang

to carry out drainage installation and general groundworks on a construction project. The gang will be responsible for delivering high-quality work safely, efficiently, and in line with drawings, specifications, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Installation of foul and surface water drainage systems, including pipes, manholes, inspection chambers, and soakaways Trenching, backfilling, and compaction to required standards Setting out for drainage and groundworks tasks Installation of kerbs, edgings, and concrete works where required General groundworks including: Excavation Foundations Concrete pouring and finishing Service ducts and drainage connections Operating plant and tools safely (e.g. excavators, dumpers, breakers) Reading and working from drawings and site plans Ensuring work complies with health & safety regulations Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Liaising with site management and other trades to ensure programme deadlines are met

Requirements

Proven experience as a groundworker gang Strong background in drainage installation and general groundworks Valid CSCS cards for all operatives CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operatives (where applicable) Good understanding of site health & safety procedures Ability to work as a team and manage workloads efficiently Own tools and PPE (preferred) Reliable, punctual, and able to work to deadlines Streetworks card preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 10 weeks

Pay: 160.00-200.00 per day
