We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Working Groundworks Supervisor to oversee construction and projects, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality results. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of project coordination, safety protocols, and team supervision. Duties
Supervise daily operations of groundworks crews, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and timely completion
Oversee inventory management of tools, equipment, and materials, including purchasing and stock control
Manage scheduling, shift management, and workforce allocation to optimize productivity
Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and safety awareness
Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and record keeping
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; conduct regular site inspections
Assist in marketing efforts to promote services and expand client base
Maintain excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Lead recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel
Monitor store or site operations where applicable, including merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and retail sales management
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in construction, landscaping, or related fields with strong leadership capabilities
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse teams
Proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, purchasing, retail sales, cash handling, customer service, shift management, retail math, sales management, merchandising, stock management, marketing strategies, wireless sales knowledge (if applicable), time management, administrative tasks including budgeting and training & development
Demonstrated ability in store or project management with leadership qualities that foster team development
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures relevant to groundworks or construction sites
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities such as payroll processing and inventory control efficiently
