Fidelity Fulfilment is looking for a dedicated temporary Group Accountant with strong FP&A skills to join our finance team in Daventry on an initial 3-month contract with potential to extend to a maximum of 6-months.
About the Role
This role is pivotal in catapulting our business into the next stage of its evolution. The post holder will be required to establish key datasets using our ERP platforms to measure our financial performance. Working closely with our finance team and stakeholders you will be delivering regular updates based on a cadence you set. Once established, the postholder will engage, coach and mentor for an eventual handover as a BAU activity.
Key Responsibilities
Group Financial Reporting
Design and implement a structured monthly reporting pack for all business units
Consolidate monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow data across the UK, US, and Netherlands
Develop and maintain a group-level reporting calendar and close timetable
Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and FX translations
Provide insight-driven commentary on group performance to senior stakeholders
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the coordination of the 2026 budget and in-year forecasting processes
Develop standardised budget and forecasting models to be used by all business units
Assist in scenario planning and funding analysis
Monitor actual performance against budget and reforecasts, highlighting variances and drivers
System & Process Development
Assess the reporting capabilities of the Access ERP system and recommend appropriate tools for consolidated reporting
Build scalable reporting templates, models, and tools, using Excel or BI software as appropriate
Work with finance teams in each region to embed new processes and drive adoption
Financial Governance & Controls
Support the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in line with UK GAAP / IFRS
Establish audit-ready documentation for group consolidation processes
Ensure consistency of accounting treatments across business units
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Partner with local finance leads to ensure timely and accurate data submission
Act as a key contact for FP&A and group reporting queries
Present reports and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
+ Proven experience in delivering best-in-class credit control
+ Experience of working across a multi-entity business or international business
+ Demonstrable track record in reducing aged debtors and improving debtor days.
Technical Skills:
+ Advanced user of MS Excel with the use of pivot tables, complex formulae, data validation, macros/VBA (desirable)
+ Proficient in the extraction of data from ERP systems (preferably Access Financials)
+ Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP

Pay:
Up to 80,000 pro rata
Holiday:
23+8 days holiday increasing to 25+8 after 3 years service.
