About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Group Accountant to manage the accounting and reporting for a group holding company. The role involves preparation of tax compliance analysis, VAT reporting, and supporting year-end audits. You will also liaise with group reporting teams and provide support on treasury and audit queries.

This is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

Month-end close of the UK holding company. Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers. Issue of monthly loan interest schedules. Submission of monthly reporting to group with key reconciliations. Preparation of analysis for tax compliance. Preparation of VAT returns. Issue of management charge invoices Payment of supplier invoices and expenses (AP transition ongoing). Support the Financial Controller with tax queries and audit papers. Deal with external audit queries. Provide cover for the Treasury Manager as required.

Skills & Experience

Strong Excel skills and comfort with data analysis. Experience of FX and reporting in foreign currencies is an advantage. Solid knowledge of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping. Attention to detail and a desire to "get it right first time." Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of tasks. Experience in balance sheet reconciliations, including multi-currency accounts. Experience preparing reports for group financial reporting and audits.
