Reporting to the Group FD, the Group Accountant will be a key flexible player who is technically strong, confident communicating with business and external stakeholders and brings a can do hands-on work ethic. The ideal candidate is used to deal with statutory accounting, including overseas entities, tax accounting and reporting, audit preparation and execution and internal control process improvement and documentation. : part-time(21-24 hours per week)

Location

: London based or monthly travel to London HQ



ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group (nine entities), including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for both monthly reporting purposes and year-end statutory accounts. Liaise with subsidiary accounting teams, advisors and auditors to assist with preparation of and audit of subsidiary accounts and prepare supporting information to resolve audit queries in a timely manner. Monitor and reconcile group intercompany accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy, including liaison with counterparties within the wider TOPPAN Holdings Inc group. Maintain current knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and auditing technical standards, and its application, ensuring all financial reporting adheres to relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP) and regulatory requirements. Provide insight and training to the management accounting team on changes to, and on the application of accounting standards in their area of work. Ensure necessary internal controls are implemented and documented, in line with wider group accounting policies and best practice. Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting and tax accounting and consolidation processes. Assist in group tax planning, transfer pricing and compliance, working alongside external advisors. Support with group cash flow management and forecasting and foreign exchange risk monitoring. Assist with due diligence and other projects that may occur from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Fluent in English. ACA / CPA or equivalent with 7-10 years post qualified experience, in an audit, group accounting, or similar role. Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and One drive tools). Experience preparing and reviewing group financial statements, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and standard and present them in a clear, concise manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with stakeholders across the finance team and wider business.
