As we continue to grow, we're now looking to appoint a Group Accounts Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work alongside a team of 5 based at our Crosby Road office. You will report into the Group Financial Controller. This role is varied and would suit someone who is methodical and highly organised and able to work on their own as well as be a team player. You must possess the ability to support team members, communicate at all levels and work to strict deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
- Checking, coding and entering purchase invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Assisting with the accurate and timely delivery of the payment run
- Processing credit card purchases
- Daily Spooling of customers invoices
- Produce monthly statements and debtor letters in accordance with timescales set
- Monitor accounts receivable ageing reports and follow up on outstanding payments
- Post and reconcile bank transactions
- Preparation of financial reports such as daily KPIs and sales analysis, working to deadlines
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with adhoc duties
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
- Has experience in a similar role and has good all round accountancy skills
- Has good IT skills including Outlook and MS Office, MS Excel
- A minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent grades 6 - 9 / A- B is essential
- AAT training an advantage but not necessary
- Is a Confident and clear communicator
- Is Positive, friendly and mature with a professional approach
- Has the ability to work efficiently and accurately, especially when under pressure
- Possesses excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
