Group Cost Control Manager




Core to our success is our people, and we now have a new and exciting opportunity within our Finance team for permanent Group Cost Control Manager to join, based at our Head Office in Belfast.


The Role




Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will oversee the administration and compliance of key Group policies, with a particular emphasis on the Group's Framework for Third Party Spend. The role supports decentralised functions to ensure value for money and risk mitigation, while partnering with departments to identify cost?saving opportunities through supplier consolidation and contract negotiation, leveraging the Group's spend for improved pricing


What you'll be doing:



Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to secure the best terms and conditions for Dale Farm Lead on the Group's strategy to consolidate suppliers and generate a Group wide "preferred supplier" list for decentralised spend outside the centralised procurement function. Ensure contracts with key suppliers are current and in place for all critical services and products. Support decentralised functions in the procurement of new suppliers (completing risk assessments, tendering, supplier due diligence and executing contractual terms with appropriate KPI's). Maintain the Group's 3rd Party supplier register. Conduct ad-hoc audits of new supplier procurements to ensure full compliance with the Group's Framework. Perform other value for money compliance audits ensuring spend is in line with Group policies (e.g. Corporate Travel spend). Support regulatory compliance with Data Protection laws (GDPR) by ensuring operational policies and procedures are regularly updated. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and develop procurement strategies that deliver value across cross?functional groups. Ensure compliance with relevant European Laws/Windsor Framework, regulations, industry standards and organisational policies. Communicate monthly updates on savings identified and other metrics to measure the success of cost transformation initiatives.




What we are looking for:



Accountancy & Finance, Business Admin or Supply Chain Management Degree Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or purchasing/procurement function, manufacturing within a FMCG or food retail business environment

Or:

In the absence of a degree, candidates who possess more than 5 years relevant experience will be considered.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc) High attention to detail and analytical skills set Commercially focused with the ability to negotiate effectively Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available)
