Resolve Group is the parent company of three growing businesses:
Resolve Contracts
- delivering major roofing and cladding contracts
Resolve Site Services
- planned maintenance and emergency call-outs for blue-chip Clients
Sprayclad UK NE
- rebranding for buildings, cladding repairs and specialist coatings to roofs
We're a forward-thinking group focused on doing quality work, building long-term relationships, and cutting through the typical construction-sector noise. We believe in working smarter, not just harder -- and we like to keep things honest, practical, and built on solid foundations.
As we grow, we're looking for a
Group Finance Manager
to take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations across all group companies. This is a key role that will suit someone confident, capable, and motivated to make their mark in a business that values clarity and continuous improvement.
The Role
This is not a back-office number-cruncher job. You'll be central to how we operate -- keeping the finances running smoothly across multiple companies, ensuring our books are clean, our reporting is accurate, and our inter-company transactions are properly handled.
You'll work closely with our external accounts specialist (who provides oversight and end-of-year support) and with our founder (who knows the commercial side inside out). You'll be trusted to run the finance function with autonomy and care -- and encouraged to make improvements as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting for all group companies
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company balances
Process supplier invoices, payments, staff expenses, and payroll data
Raise and manage customer invoices; follow up on overdue accounts
Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance
Maintain clean ledgers (sales, purchase, nominal) across all entities
Collaborate with our director on financial insights, job costing, and forecasting
Support the external accounts specialist in monthly and year-end processes
Recommend and help implement system improvements as we grow
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a hands-on finance/accounting role
Comfortable managing accounts for multiple businesses or entities
Confident with cloud accounting tools (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Strong communication skills -- able to explain finances clearly to non-finance people
AAT qualified or similar preferred (but not essential if you've got the experience)
What We Offer
A central role in a growing, ambitious group of companies
A working environment that values clarity, honesty, and real responsibility
Flexibility to help shape and improve how we do things
Direct access to decision-makers -- your ideas will be heard
Competitive salary, based on experience and capability
