Job Introduction




We are looking for a Finance Project Lead to oversee the delivery of global finance projects and initiatives that support the strategic goals of the finance function. This role will be instrumental in driving system and process improvements, which may include the continued rollout of IFS10, the implementation of a global payroll platform, increased automation of purchase-to-pay processes, and the development of a unified tool for intercompany reconciliation. The Finance Lead will ensure that all finance change plans are robust, coordinated, and effectively governed through a Programme Management Office (PMO), with careful attention to managing risks, issues, and interdependencies with other business projects.




Main Responsibility




The Finance Project Lead will be responsible for defining the vision and target operating model for the finance function, encompassing systems, processes, controls, and data. They will design a multi-year roadmap for finance transformation, ensuring that each project is properly approved and follows a standardised project methodology. The role includes building and managing budgets for all change initiatives and coordinating plans to ensure clarity around interdependencies, particularly those involving other functions such as HR and GTS. The Finance Lead will own and manage the PMO for Group Finance, including oversight of the RAID log. They may also lead the design and implementation of key projects, such as a single tool for intercompany reconciliation, a global payroll solution, and any new finance systems. Ensuring effective change management and communication strategies for all projects will be a critical part of the role.


Our Ideal Candidate




The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in leading complex finance projects within a global organisation. They should possess deep expertise in finance systems, and process optimisation, along with the ability to manage cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships. Experience in PMO operations and project governance is essential, as is the ability to plan budgets, manage risks, and develop roadmaps. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to change management are key. Familiarity with IFS10 or similar ERP systems is highly desirable, and a professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA would be advantageous.
