Are you a proactive and detail-oriented accountant looking for a role where you can make a real impact? Our client, a well-established company in the food production sector, is seeking a

Group Financial Accountant

to join their finance team and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic financial initiatives across the group.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare accurate and timely group financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and relevant regulations. Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all documentation is prepared. Compile financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support management in decision-making. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for strategic planning. Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations to maintain group-wide accuracy. Develop and implement financial controls and processes to enhance reporting efficiency. Support subsidiary companies with accounting queries and guidance on policies and practices. Assist in continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes.

Requirements:



Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, UK GAAP, and reporting standards. Proven experience in financial reporting, audit management, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills to work with finance and non-finance stakeholders. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the food or FMCG industry is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday, standard office hours
