We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Group Financial Controller to join our team. You will work closely with the Financial Directors to ensure all financial records are accurate, financial operations run smoothly, and provide key insights on business performance.
Key duties include:
Full oversight of the General Ledger, ensuring robust controls and reconciliation processes are in place
Leading on key projects and initiatives, seeing them through to successful completion with support from the wider team
Supporting the team in preparing monthly management reports for all Owlsworth entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to the Board
Ensuring inter-company accounting processes are properly implemented and consistently applied across the Group, with accurate reconciliation of all inter-company balances with subsidiaries
Collaborating with the team on the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, including consolidated group accounts, and liaising with external auditors to ensure deadlines and compliance are met
Experience and Knowledge Required:
You will be either Qualified by Experience or Part-Qualified
Solid understanding of financial processes and controls related to financial reporting and management accounts
A methodical and professional approach to problem-solving, underpinned by strong analytical ability
Self-motivated, inquisitive and resilient, with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Well-versed in creating and interpreting management information reports, including in-depth variance analysis
Demonstrated experience of engaging with senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships and influencing effectively
Highly numerate with strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
Able to provide guidance on compliance with PAYE, CIS and VAT matters within the construction industry.
