Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced

Group Head Housekeeper

to lead and support housekeeping teams across our expanding portfolio of care homes. This pivotal leadership role ensures consistently high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and resident comfort at every location.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight to Head Housekeepers across all homes, ensuring uniformity in cleaning standards and operating procedures. Conduct regular site visits and audits to monitor cleanliness, infection prevention, and compliance with COSHH, IPC, CQC, and Health & Safety regulations. Communicate a clear and consistent vision of Macc's expectations for a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Lead the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of housekeeping teams across all sites. Assist the home manager during periods of staff shortages Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to standardised cleaning schedules and operating procedures, maintaining proper documentation and consistency at each site. Oversee stock management, including monthly stocktakes and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment within budget. Support deep cleaning and setup of new build sites prior to CQC inspections and official openings. Provide hands-on support and cover in homes when necessary.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a multi-site capacity or similar senior housekeeping role, within a care or healthcare environment. In-depth knowledge of infection control, COSHH, IPC, CQC, and health and safety standards. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams across multiple locations. Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills. Commitment to high standards and the ability to foster a culture of cleanliness and attention to detail. Confident communicator at all levels of the organisation. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites as required.
