Job Description

ASG Group supply detail parts and tooling to the world's most prestigious OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer), their Risk Sharing Partners (RSPs) and their associated supply chains in the aerospace engineering, defence, nuclear, scientific and other safety critical sectors. Specialising in CNC machining, with over 150 CNC machine tools, coupled with the latest technologies and cutting techniques, ASG Group of companies continue to provide excellent quality components, on time in full as global leaders in CNC machining, precision engineering, turning and grinding within both hard and soft metal treatments.

The Group HR Business Partner is responsible for providing commercially focussed HR advice, guidance and support to the business to enable the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to achieve strategic and operational goals and objectives. Balance commercial considerations with good practice and employment regulations to manage financial and reputational risk. This will be a hands-on HR Generalist Management role, supporting multiple sites across the ASG Group portfolio.

Working hours - Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Salary - 50,000 per annum (plus car allowance).

Key Responsibilities:



? Develop, monitor and implement HR strategies, systems and initiatives across the business which are aligned with the overall business strategy.

? Provide advice and guidance to the Leadership Teams in relation to all people and HR activities.

? Ensure effective employee relations are maintained through effective management of all employee relations matters. Assist all Line Managers with the application of processes relating to conduct, capability, absence and other employee relations issues, taking in into account current legislative guidance.

? Encourage and support the promotion of staff health and wellbeing, equality, and diversity.

? Work with the Senior Leadership Team to manage recruitment and talent management processes, ensuring that each site structure is appropriate to meet business objectives.

? Provide accurate, timely and commercially focussed HR and employee relations advice and guidance in relation to recruitment and selection, absence and performance management, disciplinary and grievance issues, learning and development initiatives and management of the annual appraisal and pay review processes.

? Establish and maintain key working relationships with the Leadership Teams to ensure that commercial business decisions take account of people considerations.

? Research, design and implement HR policies and procedures for the business. Advise and, where necessary, actively coach Line Managers on the appropriate interpretation and application of the same to raise managerial confidence and competency levels.

? Work closely with the Leadership Teams to identify and manage people related financial and reputational risks, ensuring risks are identified, evaluated, mitigated and managed from project inception through to completion, taking advice from external specialist advisors as necessary.

? Implement strategies to drive employee engagement and a culture of high performance.

? Network effectively across the sites, building relationships with all stakeholders in order to ensure that the HRBP role becomes an integral part of the wider teams and ensure the HR agenda and policies/initiatives are understood and embedded within departments.

? Actively manage own professional development, undertaking regular update and development opportunities as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience



? CIPD Level 5 (minimum) qualified, with proven experience as an HR Business Partner/ Manager in a multi-site environment.

? 5+ years in a HR Management role at both a strategic and operational level.

? Able to establish and maintain sound working relationships with all stakeholders.

? Confident, persuasive speaker with good presentation skills.

? Excellent active listening, negotiation and leadership skills

? Able to balance commercial business considerations with good HR practice and a requirement to minimise reputational risk.

? Team player, with excellent I.T. systems, analytical and report writing skills.

? Ability to manage the ambiguity associated with organisational expansion, development and change initiatives.

? Sound managerial skills. Able to supervise, develop and motivate team members.
