As Group Internal Auditor at JCB, you will deliver a broad range of internal audit assignments across the JCB Group, as per the Internal Audit plan, promptly and to a high quality, with adhoc reviews completed as required.
You will conduct comprehensive audits across various business units and functions to identify areas of improvement and provide valuable insights to senior management.
We are looking for you to be experienced in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks as you'll work closely with various departments to assist with capture, ongoing review and refresh.
What does this role involve day to day?
Conducting Comprehensive Audits
Carry out a variety of internal audit assignments across different business units and functions, both independently and as part of a team. This includes local audits and occasional international assignments, depending on business requirements, ensuring all work is completed promptly and to a high standard.
Developing Audit Scopes and Testing Controls
Work closely with audit sponsors and subject matter experts to define audit scopes. Deploy audit tests to assess the effectiveness of key controls, document findings clearly, and analyse data to ensure performance measures and reports are robust and reliable.
Engaging with Stakeholders and Reporting Findings
Maintain open communication with auditees and management throughout the audit process, ensuring there are no surprises. Present key findings, raise pragmatic recommendations, and agree on implementation timeframes. Lead closure meetings to outline all significant outcomes.
Supporting Risk Management and Special Reviews
Assist with identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks by collaborating with various departments. Participate in investigations and perform ad-hoc audits as requested by executive leadership.
Managing Workload and Continuous Improvement
Take ownership of assigned work, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure deadlines are met. Strive for continuous improvement by providing valuable insights to senior management and supporting the ongoing review and refresh of risk management processes.
